Kochiites, gear up for an evening filled with the soothing sound of music, manifested through the humble violin. This Saturday evening, Anupriya Deotale, visiting our Kochi all the way from Delhi, will be entertaining you with her music. Anupriya has proved her talents in music; she is the first Indian musician to receive the prestigious Ustad Salamat Ali and Nazakat Ali Khan award in Pakistan. With a unique style of her own, and her expertise in blending fusions, Anupriya has talent proved irreplaceable.
She was also a disciple of legendary Sarangi maestro Pandit Ramnarayan. Having received guidance and training from the great Sarod Maestros: Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and Pandit Mukesh Sharma, Anupriya never had to turn back. She has a large number of CD recordings to her credit, which includes ‘India Calling’ and ‘Call of Horizons’ released in Germany and Holland.
She is also the director of ‘Ameer Khustro Centre for Music’, and her troupe will be performing at JT PAC, this 17h February 2012. The troupe will play themes which are based on ragas.
