The Fourth International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFoK) will be held in February 2012, Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi chairman Soorya Krishnamoorthy  said.
“The festival will showcase seven international productions of the works of Shakespeare, Shelley, Bernard Shaw and Kalidasa under a package, ‘Meet the masters'. Seven plays in different Indian languages and 14 short plays will also be staged,” he said. The Akademi would hold a professional drama competition in three zones in the State, Mr. Krishnamoorthy. The Akademi would offer subsidy for nine productions selected in the contest, he said.

“State-level awards modelled on the Padmashree will be presented to artistes. The construction of the G. Sankara Pillai Theatre Complex on the premises of the Akademi will be completed.
A medical insurance scheme will be implemented for 1,000 professional theatre artistes and folk art performers with coverage of Rs.1 lakh each.
