Soorya Festival will be held from 6-10 February 2012. Film Festival in association with Kerala State Chalachithra Academy is organising this 365 day long Soorya Festival.
There will be many events organised in connection with this. They are : Kathakali, Nangyarkoothu, Chakyarkoothu, Mohiniyattom, Koodiyattom and so on.Soorya Festival actually depicts the culture and civilization of the nation. 

For ten days every year Thiruvanthapuram in Kerala reverberates with the sound of music. All music and dance aficionados will have treat at this festival and be exposed to the very best of Indian cultural arts. 

Held by the Soorya Stage and Film Society, a cultural society which promotes the arts vigorously, the Soorya Festival of Music and Dance presents varied dance performances by artistes showcasing different dance forms like Kathak, Manipuri, Bharta Natyam, Kathak, Kathakali and Mohiniyattam. Renowned dancers from all over India perform at this festival. Music concerts are also held at this festival and well known proponents in the Hindustani and Carnatic style perform jugalbandis, vocal and instrumental soirees.
